As a personal trainer and a holistic nutritionist, I can provide you with the tools, education, personalized accountability and support you need to make permanent changes in your life. Through the last 19 years, I’ve gained and acquired education and experience in various areas of health and wellness. My background in fitness and holistic nutrition, combined with my own health struggles have given me the experience to coach a variety of clients. Society’s high and often unrealistic expectations created a desire for me to attain an “ideal body”. I felt pressure to achieve this “ideal body” as a fitness instructor and wellness coach. I tried all the trendy and restrictive diets but ultimately, my body paid the price. I suffered a plethora of many health issues during this time in my life. Now I’ve arrived at a place where I believe that a balanced life is important. Moderate exercise and doing the things I love while concentrating on a whole food diet has helped me achieve this balance. Healing my body has fueled my passion for helping others through this holistic and comprehensive view of health. I’ve learned the components that create a healthy lifestyle which are balanced, enjoyable and sustainable.
I started in the Fitness and Health industry as a personal trainer in 2013. I worked in gyms as a personal trainer and wellness coach in El Paso Texas, Jacksonville, Florida, and the DC metro area. As a military wife, I have been resilient to the many changes and challenges that encompass Army life. Every 2-3 years, we had to move and start our lives again in a new, unfamiliar location. The military life has brought many new people with different needs into my life, and I wanted to make a deep impact in the lives of people around me.
My conviction is that a person’s lifestyle and high-quality nutrition have healing properties. I have experienced the impact of adequate exercise combined with nutrition in my own life and I have witnessed the amazing changes others have achieved as well under my coaching and training. My mission and passion are to share my story, knowledge, and expertise so that you can get to the root cause of your health issues and support your body naturally. During 2020, the COVID 19 pandemic created an extremely difficult time for many people, but it has allowed me new opportunities to connect with others in a different way. During this time, I began my new small business with virtual training where
I worked with clients virtually from all over the U.S. I was able to continue living out my passion and make an impact on clients virtually.
FUN FACTS ABOUT DORIS
I love God with all my heart, and I enjoy learning about the Bible. In my free time, you’ll find me in the kitchen, baking all things sourdough or creating new recipes with influences from around the world. I love to cook and eat! I have a major weakness for carbs and coffee. I love strong coffee and my favorite coffee is a Cortado. I was born and raised in Patillas, Puerto Rico. I began college at the young age of 16 and graduated when I was 20 years old. I left my beloved island behind to marry and follow my college sweetheart at the age of 21. My husband was in the Army which allowed me to travel the world for 20 years. I was able to explore this beautiful world from Europe to South Korea and across the United States. Finally, we settled down in Georgia where my husband retired after 21 years of faithful service to the U.S. Army. My family including my younger sister and older brother still live in Puerto Rico on the Island. I can visit my family on the island, and I am able to show my children the beautiful island where my childhood memories were formed. I love being in nature, working out, spending time with my friends and family (quality time is my love language) and I love different cuisine from all around the world. I have completed 23 Spartan races and multiple 5k and 1/2 marathons.
Health is not one-size-fits-all and it looks and feels different for everyone. Your lifestyle should reflect what makes you your best and health should be personalized, but it doesn’t need to be complicated.
My holistic approach brings clarity, direction, and positive support for my clients which also creates balance within all the areas of their lives. With this balance, you can reach your health goals while enjoying the process and the journey. I try to help my clients live their best life by filling the gap between where they are now and where they want to be. My clients will reach their highest goals by identifying where growth is desired, setting goals and objectives, and holding them accountable. I’m a life-long learner, passionate about living the best life and helping others reach their goals also.
