DMM Fitness and Nutrition believe fitness is a lifestyle, not a “Get fit quick” gimmick. Our philosophy is that what you put into your body is just as important as how you work it out. That’s why we offer services with the whole body in mind; assessments, nutritional counseling, group classes, yoga, as well as weight and cardio services.

Hello! I’m Doris and I’m a busy mother of 3 kids and an Army wife. I am a carb lover who turned into a fitness and nutritional coach.
In 2012, I had a wake-up call when my then seven-year-old son challenged me in a race up the stairs. I could not believe that I couldn’t run up the stairs without being winded and huffing and puffing by the end. I realized how out of shape I was, and I was depressed and devastated about my condition. That day, I decided to make a change and I promised myself and my family to do something about my health and fitness!
With a combination of healthy nutrition and a strict exercise regimen, I changed my life and achieved my fitness goals. I grew up not liking vegetables, and like so many of us, I enjoyed eating high-carb foods which are addicting for many. So, what did I do? I took the first steps to get healthy by modifying my diet. I started incorporating more vegetables, mainly greens into my diet every day. I ate carbs in moderation, and I carefully watched my sugar intake and fat consumption. I minimized “unhealthy” carbs and started working out. I participated in my first 5km, 10km, and half marathons around my local community. My journey began when I got out and started moving!
My journey was not an easy one. However, once I saw the changes and results of all my hard work, I knew I was on the right path, and there was no turning back. Thanks to these little changes, I lost 50 pounds in six months and was able to get in the best shape of my life. I’m ready to help you achieve your individual fitness and nutrition goals. It’s never too late to get healthy or get the body you want.
